Dior designer may announce new shows before the winter haute couture
Rumors about a possible successor to John Galliano at the helm of Dior, have turned up in the international press. The maison, which fired the iconic designer for over a year, has not disclosed who will be its new creative director.
Now, it seems that the long-awaited announcement should happen before the season of winter 2013 fashion shows of couture , which happens in July in Paris .
The leading contender to take over is still the Colombian, Haider Ackermann . According to the website, Fashionista, the designer is looking for a new assistant to help on a project. In June of last year, he even refused offers to nine other brands.
While Dior has not announce who will be its new designer, Bill Gayten, former assistant to John Galliano, occupies the position temporarily.
