Scorsese Working on George Harrison Documentary

George Harrison Here's hoping Martin Scorcese's rock-doc on the "quiet Beatle" has more in common with his fantastic study of Bob Dylan, No Direction Home, than his forthcoming Rolling Stones flick, Shine a Light. Seeing how George Harrison isn't around to embarrass himself by dirty dancing on stage with Christina Aguilera (not that he would've anyway), we'll bet on it being a classy and well-produced chronicle of the "Dark Horse." (via Billboard)
"Harrison's music and his search for spiritual meaning is a story that still resonates today and I'm looking forward to delving deeper," Scorsese said in a statement. "It would have given George great joy to know that Martin Scorsese has agreed to tell his story," added Harrison's widow, Olivia.

Work is already underway assembling archival material for the film, which will also feature extensive interviews.
