The Polka Dots Mania
Dots, dots and more dots. The dots are the stars of the last capsule collection from Louis Vuitton, in collaboration with Yayoi Kusama, who is famous throughout the world for works covered in polka dots.
Marc Jacobs, who’s always fond of art, has created a series of clothes and accessories inspired by the mesmerizing creations of the Japanese artist. Constantly for months, the creative director of Louis Vuitton has “courted” the artist. After six years after their first encounter, they at last launched the dot collection.
The marriage between fashion and art is not new in the Vuitton house. Kusama is one with only the latest collaborations with distinguished exponents of the contemporary art scene, after graffiti, neon designs and prints made on the famous monogram bags by Stephen Sprouse, Takashi Murakami and Richard Prince.
It is the time to cover up clothing and accessories with colored dots from Yayoi Kusama.
