Vivienne Westwood and Ferragamo at the Milan Fashin Week
Britain’s Vivienne Westwood began last June 24 on the runways of Milan Fashion Week men’s modern version of the bohemian man with wide exaggerated sleeves, while Ferragamo was the rainbow to their classic suits.
Less quirky punk at other times, Westwood was inspired for spring-summer 2013 in a bohemian romanticism for part of her collection: white shirts with exaggerated sleeves and collars, suits, tights, and pants that come to the ankles.
The British designer repeats a trend already seen in the first day: the costumes elegant type bermuda shorts, socks and dress shoes.
The sweaters are great, comfortable, made of lightweight wool and carry several sizes larger than their own. They are almost like dresses to wear for a night snack on the beach.
Salvatore Ferragamo put the color on the catwalks of Milan, with costumes that are classical, but with a striking combination of colors ranging from mint green to orange jackets pants.
The essential item in the collection are the Ferragamo sweaters that are semitransparent below, that show endless ties and bright colors.
Ferragamo’s Rainbow was also reflected in overalls that combine different colors in their lapels, or jackets with a color to the neck, another for the big front pocket and one for the rest of the garment.
